Ingredients:
2 cups of cornmeal ( Harina Pan brand )
1/2 to 1 cup cold water
Pinch of salt ( to taste )
1 cup of cheese ( any type will work )
Steps:
Mix cornmeal with the cold water a little bit at a time with the pinch of salt
Smash it into a pancake
Put the cheese into the empanada
Then fold the pancake and cheese and then press down with a circular container that is the size you want
Then you fry the empanada until it is slightly golden and less malleable
Pull out let it cool then enjoy the crisp outside and the stingy, gooey, delicious cheese
Out come of cheese empanada recipe multiplied by four.
